Fill power refers to the size and loft of the down cluster. The larger the fill power number — such as 600, 700, 800, or 900 — the higher the quality of the goose down. Higher fill power typically means the product is warmer, more voluminous, and more durable.

Fill weight or firmness refers to the number of ounces inside the product. For example, two pillows may have the same firmness level, but an 800-fill pillow will generally appear more voluminous and hold its shape longer than a lower fill power pillow.
